Thinking outside of the box for my major project and avoiding designing a basic phone app is a priority for me. Some ways I could do this is by integrating AI, VR, AR, multi-device functionality, merging physical and digital etc. In this blog post, I want to explore how I could integrate these things into some of my ideas so far.

Making the process of learning how to drive easier

This product has many ways of integrating new technology and the ability of being able to access it through multiple devices. I think this is because learning how to drive has been the same for many years and it is in need of an upgrade.

Subscription service which recommends books based on your child’s age and interests and sends them to your doorstep.

This product was slightly more difficult to enhance. It is quite limited to being accessed on a smart phone or PC. However, there could be AI integrations for book recommendations that I could explore.

Product to encourage children to grow their own vegetables in school

I found this exercise beneficial as it encouraged me to think creatively. I tried not to limit myself and not shut down ideas that may not be possible. Whether I use one of these ideas or not, I will ensure my final idea is something innovative.
