“A brand tone of voice is the way companies communicate with their audience, including the choice of words, the writing style and the emotional tone. Brands need to create their identity, and the way they communicate is part of that.”

It is important that, no matter where the user goes, the communication from the brand is consistent. This way, it is recognisable and unique from other competitors.

Creating the right tone of voice

Know your audience: The majority of my audience are young children aged 7-12. Therefore, the tone should be friendly and engaging. They will be looking for aspects of the brands personality which they can relate with.

Create a do list with the words that you want your tone to fit, and also a don’t list with the words that your tone should not **match.
